First it was the last piece of work you had to complete quickly and then the holidays could begin. Then before you know it, Christmas and New Years celebrations have come and gone. You probably spent more than you can and ate and drank more than is good for you. So it’s time again for good intentions and for a firm hand.
You get back at work or studying and try to stick to your good resolutions. Like many people you commit to a better exercise routine, better eating and making time for you and your family & friends. So it started with rushed deadlines before the holiday, then you had the stress of the holidays and now there is more stress from the work that has been left behind and the pressure to keep your resolutions.
Besides the stress caused by your job and all the holidays, there are also constant signals from your environment. All day long, you get all kinds of messages on your phone, computer or television. All kinds of information comes (asked for or unsolicited!) from all sides and advertising in all forms can influence you and your choices.
Typically they are saying:
You are constantly exposed to choices and influences. You are busy trying to keep up with the latest trends or the most modern gadgets. All this can cause further stress which can lead to you living an . unhealthy life. This would cause everyone stress. The worst part is that we choose this to ourselves, and we watch our friends and family do this every year, and every time there is vacation. It is a habit that causes chronic stress and stops you from living the life you want, the life you deserve.
But, do you know that you really don’t need to remove all stress from your life to be healthy?
It is not stress itself that causes harm. It’s a person’s inability to adapt to stress that really causes serious health problems. A chiropractor corrects misalignments of the vertebrae. This removes interference from the ability of your nervous system to properly function and coordinate your function, your health and the way you feel. It enables you to adapt to higher levels of stress so that you suffer less from stress.
“As a chiropractor, I am constantly dealing with patients who have problems adjusting to certain types of stress. I often find this can be related to the relationship between their spine and their nervous system.” Says Justin (owner and chiropractor of The Right Chiro). This is much more common than you may think. Seven out of ten people you meet on the street are probably walking around with a poor relationship between their spine and nervous system caused by a bone misalignment that we call subluxations. Why is that the case? Because these misalignments are often painless, but the damage they can cause after a few years is alarming!
Chiropractors are health professionals who are experts in detecting and correcting subluxations and poor spinal function. Which will improve the relationship between your spine and nervous system, allowing you to function at a more optimal level and properly adjust to all types of stress. It is our mission this year to help everyone resolve to have their spine checked and if necessary corrected by a qualified chiropractor! This will prevent so much misery! If more people would make visiting a chiropractor a good resolution for the new year (and actually implement it!). Then fewer people would have problems adjusting to stress. Combine this goal with the good intention to start living healthier and wiser and you are on your way to a “Healthy and Happy New Year”! Book with us today!
