At the beginning of the year it is common to put some resolutions in place. These are well intentioned but because they tend to drop away within 2 to max 12 weeks. This leaves us disappointed with yourself usually, and you lose track of your health at the same time.  

 

I’m glad to hear that you’re looking forward to a healthy start to 2023! We want to make that as easy as possible. All it requires is that you do something everyday to support the 4 pillars of your health. Here are a few tips to help you get on track:

Eat a healthy diet: Focus on whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid foods that are high in added sugars, saturated and trans fats, and sodium.

 

Stay active: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise each week. This can include activities like walking, running, cycling, or swimming.

 

Get enough sleep: Adults should aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Make sure you have a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to help you fall asleep.

Stay hydrated: Aim for at least 2 litres of water per day. Water is essential for maintaining healthy body functions and can help you feel more energised.

 

Take breaks and relax: Make time for relaxation and stress management. This can include activities like meditation, yoga, or simply taking a few deep breaths.

By following these tips, you can set yourself up for a healthy and successful 2023. This will keep you better connected to your ability to heal, which ultimately affects the quality of your life.
